The structure takes shape as a timber volume that rests lightly on the ground, elevated to evoke the sensation of floating within the landscape. Casa Ten embodies a true way of living: a nest immersed in nature, a quiet pause along the path. Its beauty lies in the ease with which it integrates among the trees, offering those who inhabit it the daily experience of an authentic balance between architecture and the natural environment.
For the development of Casa Ten, we were engaged to provide specialized consulting on timber structural works, focusing in particular on the optimization of the joints and the solutions at the base of the structure. The intervention was supported by an in-depth analysis of all design conditions, examining the stresses on the fibres of the glulam elements – compression | tension | parallel | perpendicular to the grain – in order to define structural configurations that are efficient and fully optimized.
